Jerry Granger is our AWANA Commander. Jerry is energetic and committed to this ministry. He leads over 25 workers who faithfully prepare and come out each week to teach the children biblical truths. Children are encouraged to memorize scripture and are rewarded with badges and other incentives from points they accumulate each week. If you love children and would like to help in this ministry, see Jerry on a Wednesday night and let him know. Workers are always needed.
A Note From Jerry...
This AWANA year is slightly more than half over: However, we must continue to strive each week to do our very best to lead the children that God has entrusted to our care. We must lead them to His precious Son, Jesus. I know that each and every week, each one of you give more than 100% and it is greatly appreciated. My prayer is for the Lord to greatly bless each of you and all your families. I am truly honored and blessed to serve alongside each and every one of you on a weekly basis. I am looking forward to finishing up this year with a bang and set some children on fire for the Lord.
As we finish this Club Year, I want you to know that next year brings a lot of changes to our AWANA Club. We will welcome new clubbers, say goodbye to others as they pass to the Youth Program, and possibly start a new club. We will also have a complete overhaul of our existing Club. It seems that our good friend, Cubbie Bear, has moved to a new place. He had to part with some of his friends, but he has found new friends in his new home. With his move, Cubbie has brought a lot of good and fun changes to his club. Also we may be starting the 2 year old Puggles Club in the future. Pray with us about this and the need for workers.
I will leave you with this final thought from the book of Galatians, “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” — Galatians 6:9.
Honored to Serve with you,
Jerrry Granger, Awana Commander
